Choosing a bed upholstery colour for changing bed linen
Share
Treat the bed upholstery as the longer-term colour choice and use linen to vary the bedroom’s appearance.
Plan the layout and dimensions
Compare the upholstery sample with the floor, curtains and wall colour that will remain in place. Test it with two or three bedding colours you would realistically use. A fabric that works only with one staged set may limit future changes. Look at the sample in daylight and under the bedroom lamps before deciding.
Check everyday use before ordering
Think about visible texture as well as colour. A pronounced weave or padded headboard may already provide enough detail, allowing simpler bed linen to work well. Check care instructions for the upholstered frame and avoid assuming that removable-looking panels can be washed. Choose the combination from a complete room view, then confirm the bed’s dimensions and included components separately from its appearance.
