A bedside table with an open shelf or closed storage?
Share
Choose bedside storage by the objects you use every night and the access available beside the bed.
Plan the layout and dimensions
Make a short list of items that need to stay nearby: a book, glasses, charging equipment or personal belongings. An open shelf keeps items visible, while a drawer or cupboard can reduce visual clutter. Compare internal dimensions, not only the external width. Check that a drawer can open without hitting the bed frame or a nearby wall.
Check everyday use before ordering
Measure the tabletop against the lamp base and leave a reachable area for small items. Think about cleaning access and where charging cables will run. Do not assume a particular model has a drawer simply because it is called a bedside table. Confirm the actual construction, then compare its height with the top of the mattress on the assembled bed.
