A guest bed feels more practical when bedding, lighting and access are prepared together with the sofa.
Plan the layout and dimensions
Confirm the sleeping surface dimensions before choosing sheets. Check which parts of the sofa move and whether the mechanism requires cushions to be removed. Set aside a clean, dry place for bedding that can be reached without blocking the open bed. Test the complete arrangement once before guests arrive, including any nearby drawers or doors.
Check everyday use before ordering
Provide a reachable surface for a phone or glass and a light that can be switched off from the sleeping area. Keep charging cables away from the walkway. Consider where the guest can put a bag and clothing without covering the exit route. Confirm the model’s intended sleeping use and follow its instructions; extra pillows do not change the suitability of the underlying bed construction.
