A home office can also host guests when the work setup and the open bed each have a complete, usable layout.
Plan the layout and dimensions
Draw two plans: one for the working day and one with the sofa bed fully open. Include the desk chair when pulled out, storage doors and the route to the entrance. Identify which items need to move between the two uses. A floor plan that works only with the chair hidden under the desk may not represent normal working space.
Check everyday use before ordering
Give bedding and loose sofa cushions a dedicated storage place. Keep work cables clear of the guest route and provide a reachable light and surface near the bed. Confirm sleeping dimensions and the model’s intended use. If several heavy pieces must move for every overnight stay, compare a different sofa size or desk position before accepting the arrangement as a practical dual-purpose room.
